NEW DELHI: US President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump is a sport, and she proved it with her sense of humour on Sunday evening.

The 30-year-old Advisor to POTUS (President of the United States) took to Twitter to thank the Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh who had posted an image where he photoshopped himself next to Ivanka during her Taj Mahal visit. She wrote, "It was an experience I will not forget!"

In his earlier tweet, alongside the photoshopped picture, Dosanjh jokingly had said that he took Ivanka to visit the monument because she kept insisting, and he had to reluctantly oblige.

The 36-year-old 'Good Newwz' actor couldn't contain his excitement after Trump's immediate response. In a hilarious reply, he said that he was tired of explaining everybody that it's not a photoshopped image, and the next visit will be to Ludhiana. Diljit was last seen in 'Good Newwz' alongside Kiara Advani, Akshay Kumar, and Kareena Kapoor Khan. The movie was a hit on the box office. He will next be seen with Manoj Bajpayee and Fatima Sana Shaikh in 'Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari.'

Trump Women Go Desi On Their India Visit; Rock Sherwanis, Jumpsuits & Vibrant Floral Dresse...

Running High On Style

The moment President Donald Trump announced his two-day visit to India, fashion enthusiasts all over the country and beyond, couldn't help but speculate what the two ladies from the First Family - Melania and Ivanka Trump would don.

Both women are known for their fashion choices, no matter what the occasion is. Be it their tours and visits to other nations or something as routine as going to a campaign rally, Melania and Ivanka have rarely disappointed with their sartorial choices.

Ahead of their India visit, all eyes were on the two women and keeping up with the trend, the Trump women didn't disappoint. Let's take a look at the style statement that Melania and Ivanka made on their two-day visit to India.

Shimmering In Blue & Pink

Fashion enthusiasts all over the nation knew that they'll get to witness high-end fashion. Ivanka Trump's wardrobe was a breath of fresh air as it was high-end, yet sustainable.

The 38-year-old American businesswoman wore a beautiful baby blue dress with red coloured flowers printed on it. The dress by New-York based designer Proenza Schouler earned applause from many, not just for it's style but also for the statement that Ivanka made by choosing it. It wasn't the first time the 38-year-old was wearing the dress, having also opted for it during her visit to Argentina last year.

While several celebrities and brands are now moving towards sustainable fashion, it was indeed a praiseworthy move on Ivanka's part to start a conversation about the same. Jane Fonda, too, started a conversation around sustainable fashion by wearing the same dress at the Oscars this year that she wore for Cannes 2014. Joaquin Phoenix, too, in his acceptance speech spoke about sustainability.

A Breezy Jumpsuit

Those who say high-end fashion and comfort don't go hand-in-hand are clearly mistaken. There is no dearth of stunning outfits that look good and at the same time, are comfortable to wear. Case in point, First Lady Melania Trump's outfit that she donned on the first day of her visit to India.

Melania Trump rocked a white jumpsuit by French-American designer Herve Pierre, accessorised with a green and gold embroidered sash, as she walked out of the Air Force One along with President Donald Trump.

The First Lady paid a subtle tribute to India with her wardrobe, as the sash was discovered by the designer in an early 20th century Indian textile document given to him by his friends.

Rocking A Sherwani Like A Boss!

If you thought day one of Trump ladies' visit to India was high on fashion, wait till you read about day two. The women from the First Family outdid themselves in terms of fashion on the final day of their visit. Ivanka Trump went desi and made a powerful statement in an Anita Dogre sherwani.

The classic, white sherwani took the Internet by storm and became a talking point on social media. The sherwani was made out of handwoven silk from Murshidabad, West Bengal. When asked, designer Anita Dongre called the outfit 'timeless and such a classic'.

To many, it seemed like Ivanka was emulating Melania who wore white on both days of her India visit. This is not the first time a foreign dignitary has donned an Anita Dogre collection. In the past, Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, Queen Mathilde of Belgium, Sophie Trudeau, the First Lady of Canada and Hillary Clinton, Former First Lady of the United States have all worn outfits by the designer.

Shirtdress For The Win

The First Lady rocked a floral-embroidered belted cotton-poppy shirtdress on her visit to Rashtrapati Bhawan on day two. Melania also happened to visit the Government schools in Delhi and attend the Happiness Program in the school.

The dress gave major spring/ summer fashion vibes. With a collared neckline and folded sleeves, complete with a red belt, Melania dressed her sartorial best. The Carolina Herrera dress costs approximately Rs 1,15,265 and is available for purchase on the designer's website.

Just like day 1, Melania rocked loose hair, minimal make-up and slayed everyone with her outfit choice.
